Irvine Welsh

Irvine Welsh is the bestselling author of several books, most of which have been or are slated for, screen adaptation including his first novel “Trainspotting”. The success of his generation-defining debut, along with its cinematic and stage adaptations, have made him a well-known figure in culture and the arts. Irvine has just completed the biopic of Creation Record’s founder Alan McGee, there are new film & TV projects in scripted development & he is working on his next novel. He pursues interests in music, particularly electronic and is an active DJ and producer.

Although Irvine has talked often about his writing, he is particularly interested in discussing culture & technology, industrialization, the patriarchy, elites, artificial intelligence and its impact upon employment and its effect on humanity.
