Optimo are the duo JD Twitch and JG Wilkes. They each have over 25 years DJ-ing experience and in the last decade have become both renowned and highly respected for their memorable, unique way of crafting a great party. Hailing from Edinburgh and Belfast respectively they long ago made Glasgow their home and curated one of the U.K’s most legendary club nights every Sunday for 14 years at Glasgow’s Sub Club. Their reputation, derived from the club’s groundbreaking curation, numerous productions, remixes and the Optimo Music record label, has brought about a non-stop tour schedule, covering 36 countries (and counting!) around the world.

Their experience and the breadth of their musical knowledge means they are able to effortlessly seam together a mix of house, disco, techno, pop, new wave and more. From mixing David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” into a Gospel Choir recording, to slipping in a Bob Marley track in the middle of a 3000 capacity techno club and watching the kids go crazy, they never fail to deliver an original experience for their audiences.

Appealing to a cultured crowd and with diversity at their fingertips, they have previously spun for the sartorially elegant at Dior, Chanel, JW Anderson, Loewe and Raf Simmons events. Won the hearts of the art world with sets at Venice Biennale, The Turner Prize Awards, Frieze Art Fair and delivered some equally special occasions for the likes of MTV, Converse, Guinness and at the American Embassy in London.
