For over two decades, Shaun Keaveny has been toiling at the coal face of UK radio. One of the most beloved broadcasters in the country (at least in parts of Bristol, Brighton, Glasgow and Lancashire), he is renowned for his impeccable music taste, his acerbic wit, his “hilarious” comedy clip cartwall, and his unrivalled propensity to drink export lager whilst operating a mixer.
Formerly of BBC 6 Music, Shaun now regularly broadcasts on Radios 2 and 4, BBC London, is star of podcasts The Line Up and Your Place or Mine on BBC Sounds, and has created his own cult…radio station, Community Garden Radio on Patreon.
He still has the odd free night though, so feel free to try and book him for a night of immense DJ aural pleasure, where he’ll play everything from indie bangers to metal to funk to soul to hip-hop to biscuitfunk, interspersing his set with his trademark cartwall clips for extra weirdness.
It will be a night to remember, unless you’ve had too much to drink.
