Simone Marie

Simone Marie is foremost a professional musician and bass player. She has played with Primal Scream for 12 years and also worked with artists such as Johnny Marr & Jesus & Mary Chain. However it’s safe to say that DJing is one of her life’s biggest passions.  Having hosted her Soho Radio for 10 years now she has been given the ideal arena to showcase her multi faceted taste in music but what she loves to regale the crowds with most is her special blend of electro, acid house & techno. She has previously performed at Glastonbury, Benicàssim, Latitude, Gottwood, Beatherder, Manchester Psychfest , Razzamatazz/Barcelona, Freight Island, YES, Spiritland, Golden Lion and she also played the memorable closing set at Convenanza Festival.

More recently Simone has gone b2b with Neil Barnes of Leftfield and played at techno hedonist 3 day party; Tryouts in Bucharest. Her style centres around the filthier, hypnotic side of techno and electronic, with some references to the classics of detroit techno. She is also very multi genre if she needs to be with an instinctive approach, always wanting to stay in synch with the crowd, and isn’t afraid to throw in some post punk or krautrock if it fits. Due to her vast taste in music she is often the go to dj for bands support and after shows. Simone is currently working on new collaborations and a debut EP with fellow synth modulation musical artist Simon Mos.
